Recently our class was fortunate enough to have had the co-creator of Yeti Farm Creative come in and speak to us about his journey as an animator.
Firstly, I learned how important the 12 principals of animation are. You are unlikely to be successful if you do not know them.
Secondly, Todd recommends building a reputation. It is how most people build their careers as animators. It is a wonderful way to become known in a rapidly growing space.
Thirdly, he notes that all feedback from others on your artwork is strictly constructive! Nobody is out to make you feel like a failure. Feedback is given so that you may learn and grow as an artist. That is truly a valuable lesson.
Thanks so much to Todd for visiting us and teaching us all about how to "Not be That Guy"
